Passport example — with a VAT-registered notary
Total under these conditions: GEL 36.80
This example includes GEL 20 for translation and GEL 16.80 in notarial components. It assumes a VAT-registered notary, a 2-page copy and one signature on a 1-page translation. Additional pages, signatures or other acts are priced separately; confirm the complete quote before ordering.
How is a translation page counted?
Smaller type does not mean fewer billable pages. Text fitted onto one sheet can count as two or more translation pages if it exceeds 1,800 characters.
Each page of your document is priced separately. The page rate covers up to 1,800 characters. Every additional block of up to 1,800 characters on that page is charged as another page. We agree the exact price with you before starting.
Alongside the amount of text, we consider the following when preparing your quote:
- Language pair — the source and target languages.
- Turnaround — your preferred deadline and whether urgent work is needed.
- Working hours — availability and pricing outside normal hours or on days off are agreed in advance.
- Complexity and formatting — specialist terminology, recreating tables and other technical work may require extra time.
- Document type and quality — the readability of the photo or scan, and whether the document is handwritten or printed.

Does the translation price include notarization?
No. Translation and notarial charges are separate. The passport example above shows the components individually; request a full quote for other cases.
Can I send a photo of my document?
Yes. Send clear photos or scans of all required pages for a preliminary estimate. We will separately confirm whether an original or certification is needed.
Why can one sheet count as two translation pages?
Translation volume is not determined by sheets alone. More than 1,800 characters fitted onto one page in small type counts towards an additional billable page.
Is the calculator total final?
It estimates notarial components under your selected conditions. The notary confirms the act, VAT, reduced-tariff eligibility and extra costs. Agree the final price for the whole case in advance.
